Chaplain's Page
Our chaplain Clark R. West arrived at Cornell in the summer of 2009
with his wife Sarah and their children, Cecilia and Anne. With deep
roots at Cornell (grandfather George A. West ‘23, sister Susan
Sanchez ‘86) and a passionate love for the Finger Lakes, Clark is delighted to find himself now on the Cornell campus. A graduate of Williams College (B.A. in religion '89) and the University of Chicago Divinity School (M. Div '97), and having served for 9 years as a parish priest, Clark is currently working on his Ph.D dissertation in ascetical and postmodern theology at Syracuse University under the direction of Dr. John D. Caputo.
An avid cyclist, amateur birdwatcher, and lover of twangy folk music,
Clark relishes the opportunity to serve as pastor, priest and teacher
to the students, faculty, and staff of Cornell.
